I don't have anything anything to do till Thursday afternoon (work) unless you count doing dishes later today.... so over the past few hours I outlined and colored in two dragons I've been sketching along with the three I've already colored here. I only decided on their names, offically in the past twenty four hours.
So say hello to Coral and RJ. Some/most might know what the R stands for in RJ, but I haven't quite figured out what the J stands for.
Either way. Neither of these two are the "protectors" of a certian Countries'. They however are from the Americas (North and or South, I'm not sure yet). Coral is from the coast lines of the Americas however she has a US Midwest accent. RJ will have a bit of a Brooklyn/New Yorker(meaning the state) accent, in part because one of my college team's goalies is from New York, he doesn't have a Brooklyn accent (but he has a dog he named Brooklyn (and another he named Bronx)) but I've been hearing his voice quite a few times as of late in the past few months that it's somewhat what I've imagianed his voice to be like.
On a random note: You ever notice how most people who make characters in the American Dragon: Jake Long world usually make dragon characters however most only draw the dragon and no human form? I know I'm guilty of it except for with Quachir, Ryu, and Ojii-sama (I have not shown the last two clearly). Oh and I do have a sketch of RJ as a human but I'm not quite satisfied with it... I think it's because he doesn't look as good as Leo Regulus, the Pokemon trainer character I've drawn a number of times and at different points in his life.
I like his too, the main color makes me think of blacklighting which makes the other colors on him just pop. The red locks/bangs in front even act like red would in a blacklight situation, mellows down/doesn't work with a blacklight
Coral's colors are good too. I hate pink but it seemed to work for her in her color scheme.
